I wanted to share a few photos I’ve recently edited in different ways, which has allowed me to stretch my knowledge of the Adobe Photoshop program, and has led to some really creative and fun pieces of art.
The first and second photos I took hiking in a slot canyon next to Escalante, Ut. I then took these photos, edited them for desired colors, meshed them together mixing each one by height, and then splashed them with several vibrant colors. I wanted to show a different view or perspective through color than what we as Humans, may not see or understand.
As a boy, I always wondered what it would be like to see through the eyes of a different person or an animal. I constantly ask and try to think about what is it that someone/something other than me, sees? How do they see the world around them? To take it a step further, What may a dog perceive with its limited visual color spectrum? Or how the many eyes of an insect perceives its own world through flight, bouncing from one flower to the next? This photo was the first step to try and visually display this idea.
I am proud of this piece because the different work of changing filters in Adobe Photoshop, and inputting vibrant colors to create something completely different than what I’ve been recently doing with a paint brush. I had to learn and stretch my knowledge to accomplish this piece of work.
