Architecture in Edinburgh, Scotland

The definition of architecture is the outcome or product of drawing out, mapping out, planning, designing, and of course, constructing structures or even systems of order to a final construct.

We are about to embark on a new category on Squidink-art.com. A place where we feel will embellish the website with a flood of artwork that must rightfully take its place among the major categories of mankind’s creative and imaginative visual forms of art.

At the beginning of the year, we here at Squidink-art.com, had the opportunity to vacation in Scotland. We were wowed and humbled by the magnificent buildings in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. We ask these buildings to cover us in shade on hot summer days, to comfort us in hopes of refuge amongst the dangers of the world, and to offer us a new perspectives on life as we look down from the tops of the highest spires that surround us by the white fluffy cloud cover. Too the hands, and creative minds that spent hour upon hour of hard work and sweat to erect these massive works of art! These buildings are a symbol of human accomplishment, that we thank for the mastery and commitment to the success of these buildings.

St. Mary’s Cathedral, in Edinburgh, is a refreshing site to see from miles away. In which you can see its tall spire, the building stands 295 feet tall and was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott. This building is truly a safe haven from the outside world in which most Cathedrals are a representation of. A place where one may worship and pray for the blessing of the universe to be bestowed upon ones’ head.

Architecture is an amazing form of art and a part of human culture. It is a stepping stone of human advancement and allows us to focus on constructs as creative outpourings from the architect. We will have more updates from the great buildings of the world through out our site so feel free to browse around on Squidink-art.com for more photos and stories about these magnificent buildings and works of art. Please reach out to us for information and use of the photos.
